Slitting and Rewinding Machine Drive Principle


Slitting and Rewinding Machine adopts rectifying and inverting equipment similar to the coating machine and super-pressure machine, but the voltage level is raised from 400V to 690V. The connection between the drive part and the CPU is through the OLM module in the drive cabinet in the distribution room and the OLM module on-site via optical fiber. The OLM on-site connects to the CP443-5 card on the CPU, which is used to control the drive motor and connect the Slitting and Rewinding Machine PLC.


During operation, the control of the rewinding force and the pressure of the press roller are preset in the program; personnel only need to set the vehicle speed. The paper tension is generally set between 400N/m~1000 N/m. The controls for belt tension, rewinding force, and press roller pressure are already set in the program. According to different paper types, grammage, and base paper quality, up to 200 different recipes can be loaded in the program list.


Slitting and Rewinding Machine Operating Control


Belt Tension Control


The belt is 300mm wide. There are three 150mm wide narrow belts on both the drive side and the operating side. The paper can exceed the belt by up to 120mm on both sides, and should not exceed 30mm inside the belt. Slitting and Rewinding Machine operating tension is maintained at 17kN/m.


Rewinding Force Control


During the rewinding process, a speed difference between the belt roller and the rear bottom roller forms a rewinding force. Due to the effect of this rewinding force, paper with ideal tightness can be rolled with lower tension and lower press roller load. The pressure between the paper roll and the rear bottom roller, as well as the belt roller, does not need to be high, avoiding paper breakage.


Press Roller Pressure Control


The movement of the press roller is controlled by a proportional valve to the hydraulic cylinder. The pressure in the hydraulic cylinder is regulated according to the given loading curve, and the linear pressure between the press roller and the paper roll is controlled by adjusting the press roller loading. The linear pressure of the press roller, the tension of the paper width, and the rewinding force together affect the hardness of the paper roll.


Tension Control


Six tension sensors are installed under the connection points of the segmented guide rollers of the tension measuring roller. The sensors measure the force of the paper width on the guide roller and send signals to the paper withdrawing drive point. The unwinding is driven by a brake generator, which functions to maintain a constant tension value for any diameter of the mother roll during acceleration, operation, and deceleration.
